Our Prioress S. Peggy McVetty and Council Member S. Pat Koehler joined a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of a new 20,000-square-foot educational and training facility in the town of Amityville on September 19, 2022. Molloy University’s new center is designed for training nurses and other healthcare professionals. (Molloy was founded by our sisters.)

Molloy Suffolk CenterThe facility features classrooms, high-technology medical skills labs and high-fidelity simulation labs for students beginning the clinical sequence of the nursing curriculum, supported by nursing faculty.

“This is another new opportunity we have created for students to develop the crucial competencies for nursing practice, with leading-edge educational strategies and technologies, that will prepare nurses for the future healthcare environment,” said James Lentini, President of the University. “Our efforts are always to promote the development of highly skilled, competent, knowledgeable, and compassionate nurse clinicians.”
